I am an associate professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong. At HKU I research and teach international relations, international development, and Chinese foreign policy. Currently I direct the Master of International and Public Affairs (MIPA) program.
My research examines historical and contemporary Chinese foreign economic policies. Recently I published Chinese Global Infrastructure and, with co-authors, Banking on Beijing. Some of my ongoing work analyzes the domestic and international politics of major infrastructure projects around the world.
At HKU I received the Early Career Teaching Award in 2022, Research Output Prize in 2023, and Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2024. With colleagues I was awarded the Best New Dataset Award from the International Political Economy Society for developing AidData's Global Chinese Development Finance Dataset.
In addition, I have been affiliated with the Columbia-Harvard China and the World Program, the National Committee on US-China Relations Public Intellectuals Program, and the Wilson China Fellowship. Before that I earned a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University, M.A. from Zhejiang University, B.A. from William & Mary.
我是香港大学政治与公共行政学系的副教授郝思诚,主要研究和教授国际关系、国际发展及中国外交政策。我目前担任香港大学国际与公共事务硕士(MIPA)项目主任。
我的学术研究聚焦历史上和当代中国的对外经济政策。最近,我在剑桥出版社发表了《Chinese Global Infrastructure》一书,并与合著者共同发表了《Banking on Beijing》一书。我正在进行的部分研究聚焦全球重大基础设施项目的国内和国际政治。
在香港大学,我2022年获得了早期职业教学奖,2023年获研究成果奖,2024年获杰出青年研究者奖。2023年我与同事因共同开发“AidData's Global Chinese Development Finance Dataset” 荣获国际政治经济学会的“最佳新数据库奖”。
此外,我曾是哥伦比亚-哈佛“中国与世界项目”、美中关系全国委员会公众知识分子项目及威尔逊中心China Fellowship的成员。此前,我在哈佛大学获得了政治学博士学位,浙江大学获得硕士学位,以及威廉与玛丽学院获得学士学位。
